Kali White VanBaale is the award-winning writer of the novel The Monsters We Make, The Good Divide, and The Space Between. She also writes and publishes short stories, personal essays, and articles, and the weekly newsletters The Writing Lab and 988: Mental Healthcare in Iowa.

Kali is the managing editor of the nonfiction literary journal Past Ten, and is a core faculty member in the Lindenwood University MFA in Writing Program.

She lives in Iowa with her family.
